Gutierrez, MD, FAAPM&R is currently the Spine Program Director in the Division of PM&R at Hartford Healthcare. He specializes in minimally invasive and interventional spine, pain and musculoskeletal care. Dr. Gutierrez serves as an Assistant Professor at UCONN School of Medicine and previously at Yale School of Medicine. He is double board-certified in Pain Medicine and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. Originally from Southern California, Dr. Gutierrez attended the University of California, Irvine before moving to the east coast for his graduate medical training. He completed his Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center, where he was elected Resident of the Year and later served as Chief Resident. He then completed his Pain Fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
